Finding Your Ideal Emotion Code Practitioner
How to Find an Amazing EC Practitioner
What matters, and what doesn’t…
Just like any other profession, we are all searching for that person who jives with us. Who makes us feel like we can relate and someone who can help. Whether it be our barber, dentist, mechanic, etc. there are generally lots of options in our town for any given trade, what makes us choose one over the other? Trust. Being able to trust that this person/company has your best interest at heart and wants to see your problem resolved as much as you do.
There are a lot of amazing Emotion Code Practitioners out there, but how do you find one that you can resonate with and get the most benefit from? I thought it might be helpful to provide a list of things that make it easy to find a practitioner that speaks to your heart and can bring you the most benefit from your session.
They offer their first session for new clients for free. This is a somewhat controversial topic in the EC world, but I find that offering a free session allows the client and practitioner to see if it's a good fit for future sessions. It also helps to get a great baseline for where the client is, and how they want to grow.
They are a good listener. This is huge. If you tell your barber the kind of haircut you want and they shave you bald instead because they think you'd look better bald... how is that helpful? lol You need your practitioner to actually hear the words that you're saying and help you in the way that you're needing. Otherwise, don't waste your time, they won't "get you".
Kindness, Patience and Compassion. These are important qualities to have in a Practitioner as you're going through the process of discarding layers of emotions and traumas. The amount of time it takes for your trapped emotions to process varies each session, so you may have some feelings rise up that take you by surprise. You want to have a Practitioner that is patient and accessible to answer any questions or respond to feedback you may have regarding your session. Someone who demonstrates kindness and compassion for the emotions that you're going through can be very helpful taking care to know the difference between compassion, and pity. Pity being negative and unproductive.
Someone who has personal experience with your circumstance or concerns isn't necessary, but definitely helpful. For example, if you have a dog who's biting the furniture and anxious, you want a practitioner who understands dogs and their behavioral patterns. A practitioner who has never owned a dog may not be as knowledgeable as one who has. If you're suffering from Anxiety, Depression, concerns with your children, financial stuggles, etc.. find a practitioner who relates to your problems, you will typically see a better result if you do.
A final note to keep in mind- Your practitioner doesn’t need to live in your area. One of the unique things about Emotion Code is that we're able to work outside the boundaries of geographic limitations and can work with anyone, anywhere in the world. Having that freedom allows us to provide an emotionally healing service to people from all sorts of cultures, languages and backgrounds. Don’t be discouraged if you can’t find someone who lives closely providing this service. Phone, Email, and Video conferences are my most common sessions. Very few are ever done in person.
There are a few ways to find your ideal practitioner. There is a practitioner's map on the Emotion Code website: www.Discoverhealing.com You can also go to YouTube and search "Emotion Code practitioners" and see a few people who are currently working with clients and potentially find your ideal practitioner there. Google tends to be a more difficult way of searching, it's true that you get a lot of websites, but they tend to be hard to navigate and they don't give you a feel for who your practitioner is. Hopefully that has improved since writing this. :)
If you're reading this and are interested in having a session with me, keep in mind I am one of the few who offer a free new client session. If you've never had an EC Session before this is a great way to see what it's all about and ask lots of questions. If you have had an EC Session before, but want to get a feel for what it's like to work with me as your practitioner, that's free too! I’m happy to work with you!
